** Note (from North): search for Cameron Highland Golf Course on Google Map, stay on the main road til you see Cameron Highland Golf Course (on your left), just before you reach Cameron Highland Resort (on your right), you will see a Jim Thompson Cottage roadsign, turn right & follow the sign. If you search for Jim Thompson Cottage, it will lead you to a smaller road next to Big Red Strawberry Farm which is much more dangerous.
I’m struggling whether to rate it a 3 or 4. I’ll give it a 3, considering the overall experience & the price.
I’ve booked 2 family room (1 single bed + 1 king bed) for RM 627.85. Booked from AirAsiaGo.com.
Tips: AirAsiaGo allow cancellation, please check before you book. Search for discount coupon.
👍🏻 for fresh air & scenic surrounding, my mum actually love this place a lot. 👎🏻 for the first road we taken it is narrow, dangerous and we are so stressful. But, there are actually another road to the cottage which is broader & safer. Another 👎🏻 for there was a room with water stain at the ceiling & the bed headboard (Room M18, if you would like to know). But, their service is pretty good 👍🏻and they allow us to change the room.
They also offer steamboat service with charges (ring them up in prior for arrangement)

My mum loves the family photo that we’ve taken here. A beautiful garden, showcase the different types of lavender. They also have colourful Gerbera.
Brinchang Night Market ★★★★☆
Available on Friday & Saturday only
There is only 1 photo. Why? i’m busy 😅. Recommended to buy pearl corn (super sweet 😋), strawberry (cheaper than strawberry farm) & cherry tomatoes here.
Tips: When you buy the strawberries here (i bought 3kg for RM30.00) i suggest to bring a recycle bag to carry the strawberries & just ask for the plastic containers to pack it yourself. When we bought the strawberries (usually they put them in a tray), they packed the strawberries in the plastic containers & squeezed some of the strawberries, ended up a lot of the strawberry get soggy. Better, bring a cooler box so that your strawberries stay just as fresh when you are home.

A huge farm, with terraces of hydroponic lettuce, strawberries & flowers along the walkway. Me & my mum went to strawberry picking too. I didn’t bring my camera as i thought the picking will be around the rest area & i passed my camera to my sis so that she can help us to take some photos, but the picking is at further in of the farm, a lot of climbing too 😅.
They actually have hydrangeas here. Wonder why they don’t have my fav Peony.

If you don’t like cactus/succulents, then there are nothing much to do here. Basically, people dropped by to buy cactus/succulents. We bought some baby succulents (RM 2.00/pot; RM 11.00/6 pot). Will i visit again? Yes, i will.
I actually like this a lot. I hope my sis propagate them & give a pot to me. LOL.
They sell flowers too. The only photo i take on flower is this because i never see this flower before. The flower is kinda feathery.

This garden doesn’t have seas of flowers, but they are a pretty good summary of what other gardens offer. The best part of this garden? Instagram worthy, every corner is a good backdrop.
Restauran Fong Lum ☆☆☆☆☆
Rated with no doubt. This is the worst steamboat we ever ate. Not only that the food is not fresh nor nice, the hygiene is extremely poor. At first, the soup ladle they provide is dirty & we found out they store their portable stove just outside the washroom 😵😨. Then, when they serve the steamboat, there were baby cockroaches climbing out of the pot handle 🤐. We also found black spot on the crab filaments they served, guessed it must be kept for a long time (not fresh). We were so regret that we didn’t walk out when there are cockroach there, stupid us. The lady boss said sorry to my dad & said our drink is on her. So, they charged us RM100.00 for the food (photo shown below) which i feel is very pricey, but hygiene is still the main problem.
Ordered for 5 pax & the food is all shown in the photo above. The handle of the pot which i’ve circled in red is where the baby cockroach crawling out in gang.
The photo above shows how they store their induction cooker (they didn’t serve us with it though, they served us with rustic portable stove that they store outside their washroom) & the soup ladle.
