Double Tree by Hilton KL is located in The Intermark building. Hotel lobby on the 1st floor. Ground floor consists of some dining places and cafe.
When & Why I’m here?
August 2016. Company organised conference.
The first thing when we walk towards the hotel lobby’s reception, they welcome us with the Cookie.
It’s not just a cookie, it’s a warm cookie. That had totally win my first impression just because they mind warming up their cookies. Or, maybe we just get lucky that the cookies is just out of the oven.
The bell service also very enthusiast to help us with our bags. We only have one bag each so we insisted to carry our bags. 😅
Not sure about our room type but should be either 2 twin beds deluxe or 2 twin beds guest room.
They have excellent sound proof system and comfortable bed. Even though i slept late at night but i have a very good deep sleep and i don’t get body ache in the morning.
They provide new toiletries everyday. So you no need to overthink if they accidentally drop your brush during room service (pardon me if it’s too gross for you 😆). You can have a new one after the room service.
Same as other hotels, they won’t change the towels everyday unless you request for it.
The only thing to complaint about is the shower heater. The water temperature is not consistent. Even though i’ve waited some times for the heater to heat-up, the water temperature fluctuated during the shower. Thus, not a very relaxing shower there.
Room card is needed to access the lift. I’ve lost my room card during my stay. Called the front desk, get a replacement with no extra charges.
Some baby items for rent. Not a mum yet, not sure if they are helpful to you, just sharing.
They also provide free shuttle service. Please note that shuttle service only to send us off to the intended place not included return to the hotel. Remember to provide your name and room number at the service counter at the entrance of the building.
How about the food? We only have had our lunch at the hotel’s Makan Kitchen so my comments are only on their buffet lunch. I will have to say: not bad yet not impressive. They have food ranging from chinese-malay-indian cuisine, however not much dishes in each category. I’ve read of many good reviews on them though. It’s very hard to please a Penangite taste buds, i guess 😅.
➳ Wide range due to a few room options (rooms to suites) at ~ RM 300 to >RM1500
